Fibromyalgia Warrior 2015

Bill has been told that was told that he is the glue that holds our group together, popular…Recipient to the 2015 Fibromyalgia Warrior award from Men With Fibromyalgia.

Bill was born in Waltham, Mass. His father was at Harvard then, and was a General in the Army (passed away five years ago).Bill has lived in Japan, many States, lived in Naples, Italy, traveled throughout Europe a few times. Bill went to the University of Arizona and University of Hawaii with a degree in architecture.

Married his college sweet heart, has two sons, started a retail business in Tucson with his parents. He came out of the closet recognizing and accepting the fact that he is gay, divorced sadly. Moved to Scottsdale in the early 80’s after he knew his former wife was remarried and happy along with their sons, opened a retail business in Scottsdale which lead him to commercial and residential interior design which was doing quite well when his Fibromyalgia began. It took over three years for a diagnosis (and over $150,000.00 in medical bills due to the fact that he couldn’t have health insurance because of pre-existing conditions (migraines))

Bill finally had to end design practice due to his failing health (best to end at the top than continue on and loose the name he made for himself as one of the top designers), other illnesses and diseases followed. Joined the Fibro for Men group as he needed to have a sense of purpose, and he always did volunteer work before. Bill learned so much about Fibromyalgia and other men who have had it, became an admin for the group but now not as active as his health is starting to get much worse. (Boy is that understatement of the year, LOL!!!)

Bill has been told that was told that he is the glue that holds our group together, popular…Recipient to the 2015 Fibromyalgia Warrior award from Men With Fibromyalgia.

Bill has been in a relationship with his husband James for 20 years. There are many, many more high points that he have experienced, but unfortunately with brain disease, on top of Fibromyalgia and other conditions, he tells us that it’s hard sometimes to put thoughts/words into a sentence without it sounding like a 3 year old.

Congratulation’s Bill on being this years FIBROMYALGIA WARRIOR!
